DBN celebrates 50th foundation day | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Sept 1: Dewan Badrinath Vidya Mandir (DBNVM), Mubarak Mandi Jammu on Saturday celebrated its 50th foundation day with great pomp and show. The golden Jubilee function started by performing of Havana. Jagdish Singh Jamwal ex-Major General was the chief guest on the occasion, while eminent social worker Virender Jeet Singh presided over the function. Among others present on the occasion included Manager Trust Rajinder Kakkar, advisor Yash Puri, ID Soni, headmaster Shubh Sharma, along with students and parents. Principal of DBN Mubarak Mandi Indu Puri welcomed the chief guest and others present on the occasion. The cultural show be students started by respect to Mata Sarawati by reciting Sraswati Vandna, followed by nursery rhyme by tiny-tots, dogri dance, partrotic song, bangra etc. Students of the school who have done exceedingly well in the state board examinations were awarded. In the end director academic of the school Suresh Shrama presented vote of thanks. Meanwhile, Dewan Badri Nath (10+2) Vidya Mandir, Amarvilla, Talab tillo also held a programme to celebrate its 50thFoundation Day in the school premises. Vidya Rattan Sharma (Joint Secretary J&K Board of School Education) who was the Chief Guest on the occasion, hoisted the school flag. The boys and girls contingents and the school bank went past the said presenting salute. A colourful cultural programme which included songs by the tiny toddlers, Saraswati Vandana, Dogri Dance, Display of Yoga and a Qawali was also present. The whole programme was conducted by the Principal Dr. Baljeet Singh. The speakers on the occasion while highlighting the achievement of the school over 1st 50 years paid rich tributes to Dewanini Vidyawati, who laid the foundation of the school. |
