Dr Manhas awarded Indo-Hungarian Faculty Research Fellowship | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Sep : Dr Parikshat Singh Manhas, Associate Professor, The Business School and in School of Hospitality & Tourism Management, University of Jammu, upon the recommendation of the Balassi Institute, Department of Subventions, Hungarian Scholarship Board, Budapest, Hungary, has been awarded Indo- Hungarian Faculty Research Fellowship for the year 2012-13. This fellowship is funded by Hungarian Government. Dr. Parikshat will be working on "Economic Development through Destination Brand Positioning in Hungary: Strategic Implications for Indian Tourism Industry" and would guide Hungarian government to develop Destination Promotion plans and in other aspects of Tourism. Dr. Parikshat is the only management teacher from India who has been conferred with this prestigious fellowship and in the process professors from even IIMs have been left behind by this young scholar. The fellowship screening committee and the executive council comprises of eminent educationist and high profile academicians as well as policy makers from India and Hungary. This is one of the most coveted and sought after fellowships amongst the teachers teaching at higher educational level. Dr. Krisztina Zimanyi, Dean, Budapest Business School, Alkotmany, Budapest, Hungary has been made his affiliate in Hungary. Dr. Parikshat would be working under her guidance and this would enable him to enhance his research and academic potential. His research would benefit Indian Tourism Industry and J&K in particular. |
