JAMMU, Sept 1: India made a winning start after the star-studded side defeated Australia in straight but close sets of 25-18, 25-22, 25-23 in the 3rd Asia Cup Volleyball Championship today.
It was a team effort from Sahara senior Indian men team that guided the side to a moral boosting win in the game that lasted for 75 minutes, reports reaching here said.
Sube Singh and Vaishnav played well in quick attack while in block, Gurinder performed well in back line attack and in jump service. Setter Ukkrapandian distributed well for all the attackers and Prabakaran played well in attack, the reports added.
Now, in the next match, India shall take on China tomorrow. |
