| NYK Kathua organizes activation camp | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Kathua, Sept 1: Nehru Yuva Kendra, Kathua launched a 05 days Campaign for Strengthening & Activation of Youth Clubs for block Barnoti and Hiranagar.
Before launching campaign, one day orientation training cum workshop was organized for National Youth Corps volunteers and local youth leaders for campaign. A team of 10 NYCs and Youth Volunteers has launched the campaign under the supervision and guidance of Som Datt Zard, District Youth Coordinator.
Each group visited 11 to 12 villages in five days i.e. from August 27-31and activated the old youth clubs and formed New youth clubs and Mahila Mandals in different villages.
During the campaign, Team members met and interacted with youth leaders and other opinion leaders in about 55 villages each of Block Barnoti and Hiranagar and disseminated information about NYK, Annual Action Plan, verified current status of Youth Clubs. During these meetings, youths were told about various self employment schemes of Govt. and other projects Like UDAAN and HIMAYAT for educated youth. The response of the youth was very encouraging. |
