ReT teachers rue Govt apathy

UDhampur , Sept 2 : A monthly meeting of All J&K ReT Teachers Forum was held on Sunday at Town Hall Udhampur under the Chairmanship of State President Vinod Sharma and Distt. President Lekh Raj Parihar in which a large no. of ReTs and EVs converted ReTs from all the Zones of Udhampur participated. While speaking on the occasion, Vinod Sharma said that Govt. is Casual towards their grievances and genuine demands.
He said that EVs converted RETs have not been regularized even after they have completed their seven years services in the deptt. Since March 2010 onwards.
He said that though Govt. announced enhancement in the honorarium of ReTs from Rs. 1500 pm to Rs. 3000 per month in last budget session and even Chief Minister himself assured their depuation in June 2012, still the order of enhancement is still awaited.
He also demanded inclusion of 5 years ReT period for seniority benefits and old pension scheme in favour of ReTs appointed before 01-01-2010 as their salary has been held up for past several months for want of sanction of grant under new pension scheme. He also condemned the Principal SIE's order opposing the deployment of Regularised ReT teacher as CRPs and ZRPs. He said that RETs have been deployment for various sensitive duties like census duty, various survey duties, Election duties etc and they are not entrusted as CRPs and ZRPs.
The ReT Forum threatened to launch agitation against this if the said order is not revoked and they also threatened to deny any sort of duties in future against such order.
While speaking Distt. President Lekh Raj Parihar said that MDM grants have not been released this year and Teachers of Distt. are facing a lot of hardships of run MDM scheme in the schools.
He also highlighted the problem of salary in favour Regularized ReTs under new pension scheme.
Others who spoke included Sham Sharma, Sukesh Khajuria, Sukhdev Singh, Ashok Seth, Pritam Goswami, Ravinder Singh, Parmod Sharma, Bhushan Khajuria, Suresh Sharma, Anil Sharma, Mustfa, Vandana, Shamsher Singh, Surjeet Singh, Shabir, Amit Sharma, Bashir & Others.
