| KMU demands minority representation from Doda in state Cabinet | | | Early Times Report
Doda , Sept 2: President Kisan Mazdor Union, District Doda, Yog Raj Sharma has appealed to Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and UPA Chairperson Sona Gandhi to induct Minister in the Cabinet from minority community from District Doda. For the last so many years, no public representative (MLA; M.L.C) from the minority community has been inducted into any ministry in the erstwhile district Doda. The minority community is feeling deprived of their genuine right. So, Prime Minister & UPA Chairperson, Madam Sonia Gandhi is strongly urged to consider the matter seriously and sympathetically and induct MLC Naresh Gupta at least as a minister of state into the ministry. He is Sober, highly qualified law graduate, experienced and energetic and will come up to the expectations of the minority community. The public of minority community of District Doda who's population is more than 45% thank the UPA government that after independence a MLC, is nominated from minority community from District Doda. They demanded that MLC, Naresh Gupta be inducted in the ministry to represent the 45% population of Minority community of District Doda.
Sharma urged the state government that there is total unrest among the people of Tehsil Thathri and Tehsil Gandoh for almost complete disorder in the working of schools, water scarcity and large scale corruption in the ongoing development schemes. Sharma demanded immediately enquiry and redress the grievances of the labour class and bring the erring officials to book and also demanded inquiry in newly constructed school buildings and midday meal in Tehsil Thathri and Gandoh. |
