Natrang stages 'Kagaz Pe Likhi Maut' | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 2: 'Kagaz Pe Likhi Maut', a new Hindi Play was staged by Natrang in its Sunday Theatre Series at Natrang Studio Theatre, Kachi Chawni. The highly intense play which touches the hearts with its emotional appeal has been written by Yogesh Tripathy and directed by Anil Tickoo and two more plays viz 'Waqtuk Aalav' and 'Dagi Ros Doeh' were staged at Sopore (Baramulla) and Kupwara in Kashmir. In the play 'Kagaz Pe Likhi Maut', 'Sada Shiv' is counting his last days in jail as he has been awarded death sentence because he was accused of murder of his boss and the Security Guard of the company where he was an employee. As different people are different, different police personnel take him differently, for some, his execution is just a duty and for few it is a heart rendering situation as his conduct was very good in the jail, he always stands for the cause of justice, no matter for whom. This fact was also revealed during the play that he did not committed the crime deliberately, he had to do it in self defense as the officials of his company were trying to kill him because he was fighting the cause of labours. The mentality of person who is going to die any moment was well reflected in different scenes, just for a one wrong move, his life is condemned forever and he has nothing left with him other than remorse, he had reflection of all the past happenings which were so emotional that it could touch the hearts of the audience. Rohit Verma as 'Sada Shiv' could live the pain of his character. Rahul Singh as 'Judge' and Uplaksh Singh as 'Jailer' also performed their roles beautifully.
