Elders return after historic visit to Ajmer Sharief | | | Early Times Report
ANANTNAG, Sept 2: The elders of South Kashmir's Anantnag, Kulgam and Shopian districts who had left for National Integration-cum-Motivation tour, organized by the Army's 1 Sector Rashtriya Rifles, have returned to the Valley. 40 elders who visited various famous historical sites and monuments like Amar Mahal palace in Jammu, Hawa Mahal and Ajmer Fort at Jaipur, Garib Nawaz Dargah and Pushkar at Ajmer, India Gate and Jama Masjid in Delhi. National Integration cum Motivation, a 10 days tour was organized by Army in which elders from Kulgam, Shopian and Anantnag district participated. Tour was organized with an aim to connect elders of South Kashmir with religious and communal harmony of the country. Elders who participated in the tour thanked army giving them such an opportunity to visit the country's most famous religious places like Garib Nawaz Dargah and Jama Masjid in Delhi. "I always wanted to see historical places of which I have read in my school books or seen on television. This trip made it possible for me," said Shiraz Ahmed Mullah Sarpanch, Chandipura Village. 40 years old, Mohd Yusf Dhar, Sarpanch Batingoo said "I have come back with lifelong memories from this tour. All this was possible due to efforts of the army''. Tour was flagged of By GOC Victor Force, Major General R.R Nimbhorkar from Khanabal on August 27.
