DB summons fresh compliance report | PIL against removal of tinted/black films from Vehicles of VIPs/VVIPs | | Jammu, Sept 3 (JNF) : In the much publicized Public Interest Litigation filed by Dr. Davinder Singh Jasrotia & ors seeking ban on use of tinted/black films, A Division Bench of State High Court comprising First Puisne Judge Justice Virender Singh and Justice Muzaffar Hussain Attar deferred the instant PIL along with all the applications moved the owners of the seized vehicles till September 12, 2012 and in the meantime, the Division Bench directed Sr. AAG Gagan Basotra to file fresh compliance report before the Court. Advs RP Sharma, BS Charak, Vijay Gupta, Parvinder Singh, SDS Saini, Nonu Khera, MK Sharma, Arun Tandon and NK Attri appeared for the applicants' owners whose vehicles have seized by the traffic police for using the tinted glasses. Division Bench today again declined to release the said vehicles and posted the applications along with the main Public Interest Litigation for September 12, 2012. Advocate Rohit Kapoor appeared for the PIL and accepted notice of the fresh applications on behalf of the petitioner. Sr. AAG Gagan Basotra accepted notice on behalf of the state. Division Bench allowed a week's time to both the counsels to respond the applications filed by the owners of the seized vehicles seeking their release. |
