NSUI holds massive rally for RTE | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 3: National Students Union of India (NSUI) today under the leadership of its State President Uday Bhanu Chib took out rally for implementation of Right to Education (RTE) in which started from MAM College and culminated at the University of Jammu. Carrying banners and placard in support of implementation of RTE in Jammu and Kashmir, rally halted at Ambedkar Road where Uday Chib State President, Feroz Khan National Delegate, Abhishek Koushal State Vice President , Ajay Kumar State General Secretary NSUI incharge Jammu Distt, Neeraj Kundan National Delegate, Abijot Singh Distt Coordinator and many other addressed the rally. Uday Chib State President while addressing the NSUI activists said RTE means Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act The bill was approved by the cabinet on July 2, 2009 and Raja Shaba passed the bill on 20 July 2009 and the Lok Shaba on 4 August 2009. "The law came into effect in the whole of India except the state of Jammu and Kashmir from 1 April 2010, the first time in the history of India a law was brought into force by a speech by the Prime Minister, he said. |
