CCB contenders allege misappropriation of voter lists | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 4: Contesting candidates for the post of directors of Citizen Cooperative Bank (CCB) have alleged that some frivolous practices were going on to further the interests of some blue eyed candidates, contesting the elections schedule to be held on September 17. Former Mayor of Jammu Municipal Corporation Narender Singh, who is also one of the contesting candidate have alleged that the voter list were totally asymmetrical. “As per voting lists, a voter of Julaka Mohallah has to cast his vote in some other locality.“It is impossible for a contestant to find his bonafide share holder as per lists” he alleged. He also alleged that there were some contestants, against whom FIR’s were lodged by the concerned bank but they were participating in the scheduled election. “On the recommendation of Bank authorities, names of some contenders were deleted by returning officer, following which they had to approach Tribunal” he said, adding that some of the former directors were pressurizing the employees of bank to further their interests. The contenders including Pardeep Vaid, Balbir Singh, Ajeet Sharma while others have appealed divisional commissioner Jammu to take action and passed directions so that no frivolous activities should be happen to check the bogus voting. |
