Police launches search operation to recover bodies of Delhi HC blast accused | Special NIA court frames murder charges against Dr Waseem, 5 others | | Asif Iqbal Naik Kishtwar, Sept 4: Merely three days before the first anniversary of last year September 7 blast outside Delhi High Court killing 16 people and wounding 79 others, the special National Investigation Agency (NIA) court today order framing of charges under Unlawful Activities Act including murder, criminal conspiracy, waging war against country, attempt to murder and Explosive Act against key conspirator Dr. Waseem Akram Malik arrested on October 4, 2011 from Indira Gandhi International Airport for his alleged role in last year terror attack outside gate No. 4 & 5 of Delhi High Court. NIA Special judge after ordering framing of charges against Malik and 5 others, all residents of Kishtwar District and slated September 18 for framing charges of murder, attempt to murder, criminal conspiracy and causing grievous hurt under the Indian Penal Code against Malik after finding prima facie evidence of his role in the terror attack. Beside Malik, charges against Amir Abbas Dev, teenager Abid Hussain Bhawani, Amir Ali Kamal (now dead), Junaid Akram Mailk and Shakir Hussain Sheikh alias Chota Hafiz were also framed under relevant sections of Indian Penal court for their alleged role in September 7, 2011 blast. NIA during its investigation had filed charge sheets against six including two arrested accused and two absconders said to be the members of HM militant outfit active in Jammu and Kashmir. Among the two arrested accused, Amir Abbas Dev presently in judicial custody had later turned approver for the NIA and recorded his statement under section 164 CrPc before magistrate. As per the email claiming responsibility of the blast, the attack outside Delhi High Court was plotted with an aim to get the death sentence of Parliament attack case convict Afzal Guru commuted to life imprisonment. NIA adjudicated the case of minor Abid Hussain Dev separately. Abid was accused in the case for sending an email claiming the responsibility of the blast from a local cyber café in Kishtwar District. NIA in his charge sheet also named two Pakistani Bilal Bahi and Saifullah for their alleged involvement in the blast case. The whereabouts of the two Pakistani accused are still unknown since last one year. Meanwhile, former HM militant Sajjad Hussain Mir alias Rizwan, presently in Kishtwar police custody during his sustained questioning confirmed the killing of teenager Junaid Akram Malik and his associate Mohammad Saleem alias Shamsher Kanna. According to police sources, Rizwan informed the Kishtwar police that he had killed Junaid Akram Malik and Shamsher Kanna some 9-10 months ago in deep inside Marwah forest. He informed Kishtwar police that after killing Junaid Akram Malik, he buried him in a hideout located deep inside Mathwan forests of Renie area in Marwah Tehsil of Kishtwar District. He also informed the police that after killing Shamer Kanna, he burnt his dead body in nearby forest area. He also gives the details about the grave of Junaid Akram Malik to Kishtwar police. Kishtwar police and army on the bases of the disclosure made by Sajjad Hussain Mir alias Rizwan launched a joint search operation in Mathwan forest area of Marwah in Kishtwar District to locate the dead bodies. Police sources in Kishtwar said that the search operation was halted due to heavy rains in the area. Officials of Jammu and Kashmir Police said that until and unless they recovered the dead bodies of Junaid Akram Malik and Shamsher Kanna, they will neither confirm the report nor will deny it. "Let's wait for a day or two, the suspense over the issue pertaining to the killing of Junaid Akran Malik and Shamsher Kanna will comes to an end once the police gets hands on the dead bodies of the two from the place as was claimed by the former HM militant Rizwan during questioning with Kishtwar police," said Jammu and Kashmir police officials. |
