Cabinet decides to meet at Machil next time | Gives 4 months to H&UD ministry for preparations of Local Bodies elections | | EARLY TIMES REPORT KISHTWAR, Sept 5: The state cabinet on Tuesday decided to hold its next meeting at Machil town of north Kashmir's frontier district of Kupwara. The cabinet which met here on Tuesday afternoon under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah gave nod to the proposal for conducting the next meeting scheduled on 12th of September at Machil. This will be the second time in recent times when the State Cabinet will meet at a border town. The Last time it met at Tangdar in the month of June. Meanwhile the Cabinet also banned the unapproved financial institutions that are operating illegally in the state. Sources told that a committee has been set up to look into the matter and asked to frame the guidelines for operation of such organizations. The Omar Abdullah led Cabinet also asked the Housing and Urban development Ministry to make all the preparations for the conducting of Local bodies elections in next 4 months. "They have been given 4 months to finalize all the arrangements", Sources told. |
