Court hands over custody of 'Outlander' to Mumbai CB

KISHTWAR, Sept 5: In the much publicized murder case of Bollywood starlet Laila Khan and her other five family members, Munsif Judge Kishtwar Omesh Sharma ordered of handing over the custody of Outlander vehicle bearing registration number MH02BY-7867 to Mumbai Crime Branch presently probing the murder case of the actress and her family involving Parvaiz Iqbal Tak, a native of Bhunzwah village in Kishtwar district.
The Judge passed the order after Mumbai Crime Branch through his council Sushil Parihar moved an application seeking transfer of the seized Outlander vehicle in favour of Mumbai Crime Branch.
The Council of the Mumbai Crime Branch pledged that the vehicle is required by the agency in ongoing investigation into the murder of Laila Khan and her family members is presently under way in Mumbai.
After hearing the plea of Advocate Sushil Parihar, Munsif Judge Kishtwar ordered Kishtwar police to hand over the custody of seized vehicle in favour of Mumbai Crime Branch whose four member team is already camping at Kishtwar.
It is worthwhile to mention that Kishtwar police on the bases of the inputs given by CID (CI) seized the "Outlander" vehicle from a rented shop at Om Mehta Road, Kishtwar on May 29 2012, which finally led to the unfolding of the murder mystery involving Bollywood Starlet Laila Khan and her five family members including her two sisters, mother, brother and cousin sister.
Meanwhile even after 3 months, Mumbai Crime Branch has failed to arrest Shakir Hussain, co-accused in the murder case. Shakir Hussain allegedly help main accused Parvaiz Iqbal Tak in executing the murder of the family and is still at large since Kishtwar Police let him go after detaining him on suspect grounds before the arrest of Tak who finally confessed to the Crime during sustained interrogation with Kishtwar police and revealed the name of Shakir Hussain as another accused involved in the gruesome murder.
