| 4 held alongwith 1700 intoxicant capslues; 18 corex bottles | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Sept 5: Continuing with its drive against drug menace in Jammu, Jammu Police arrested four drug peddlers and seized 1700 intoxicant capslues and 18 bottles of corex (prescription drug) from their possession.
The accused have been identified as Pankaj Kumar s/o Guljar Chand of Kabir Basti, Jammu, Guljar Chand s/o Kirpa Ram of Kabir Basti, Jammu, Vikram Singh s/o Hari Singh of Rehari Colony Jammu, Amit Sharma S/o Jwala Parkash R/O Purkho camp, Jammu.
Police said, "During a Naka laid at KC Crossing, a Police party of Police Station Bus Stand noticed four men roaming under suspicious circumstances. "On seeing the police party they tried to escape, but the police party headed by PSI Deepak Thakur along with his team members gave a good chase and nabbed them, police said.
Police said that upon their personal search, 1700 intoxicant capsules of Paravon spas and 18 bottels of corex recovered from their possession (the seized drugs are strict prescription drug). Police party immediately seized the illicit drugs and arrested the accused. In this regard a case FIR No. 59/2012 U/S 8/20/21 NDPS Act stands registered at P/S Bus Stand and further investigation is going on. |
