Capt Gour, Co for better banking, as CCB election battle gains momentum

Jammu, Sept 6: Campaigning for elections to the nine-member Board of Directors of the Citizen Cooperative Bank (CCB) Limited has gained momentum with the contesting candidates making efforts to woo the electorates for the polls scheduled on September 17.
While introducing the team, the spokesperson for the panel, Rajiv Chuni, said that the panel was a mixture of old and new faces.
“We wanted that there should be a sense of satisfaction among the shareholders of the bank when they looked at the team members, who are known for their credentials,” Chuni said, adding that they were capable of managing the day-to-day affairs of the bank.
Rajiv Chuni spokesman of the Panel contesting election while introducing his team of nine contesting candidates said his panel includes Capt Anil Gour (Ballot No 1), Ashwani Puri (Ballot No. 2), Ayodhya Kumar (Ballot No. 3), Kuldeep Raj Gupta (Ballot No. 10), Onkar Seth (Ballot No. 12), Rajiv Mahajan (Ballot No. 16), Romesh Chander (Ballot No. 18), Surinder Singh (Ballot No. 19) and he himself against Ballot No. 15. The team members vowed to improve the financial health of the bank and make the working more advanced.
They said special attention would be given to funding aspiring entrepreneurs. They promised setting up of a special cell for providing effective clientele services. While emphasizing for employment generation in the state, Chuni said the employment generation is the need of the hour and if our team is voted to power priority would be to open new branches in every district headquarters of the province so as to generate substantial local employment in the Bank. Team also promised to work hard to resort and enhance the image of the bank. “Our team have to work hard to reduce the alarming NPA and bring it down to prescribed RBI norms,” they said.
Onkar Seth Advocate three times chairman of the bank and a team member has appealed to the people that it is the duty of every shareholder of the bank to come forward and support the above mentioned team. Surinder Singh Advocate, Capt Anil Gour both former Vice Chairman of the bank and Romesh Chander Ex. Director Prosecution (Vigilance), J&K State, jointly released the team’s manifesto promising development of bank,  equipping it with state of art banking like Computerization, better Bank building, Industrial growth and Model branches.
Besides this manifesto promises Special grievance cell to attend clientele services problem, Bank’s employee welfare measures including revised limit of gratuity, effective Transfer policy & Promotion policy and etc.
