JKDF expresses concern over delay in selection lists of wardens | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 6 : Chairman JKDF Anil Gupta has expressed his serious concern over the inordinate delay in publishing of selection list for post of Warden in Prisons Department of J&K. Despite the memorandum submitted in this regard to the Chief Minister by JKDF on July 2nd ,2012 and raising of issue in State Assembly by legislators several times in past, Government has failed to publish the Selection List even though process of selection completed 7 years ago. Anil Gupta Said,” Government should take immediate note of the growing resentment of aspirants over the issue especially the youth who are reeling under the burden of growing unemployment in the State. Government failure to make the selection list public despite passing of 7 years creates many doubts in the minds of people and it seems selection list might be tempered in order to benefit the favourite ones. The fate of nearly 1200 aspirants who are on verge of getting overage hangs in suspense. On the one hand Government is making tall claims of handling the unemployment issue and at the same deliberately delaying the selection of genuine candidates for years to make them frustrate and spoil their future.” “JKDF with the support of youth will agitate over the issue if the Selection list will not be made public immediately. We will not allow this Government to play with future of youth for their own petty interests. The Selection List must be made public in accordance with the rules and regulations already in vogue. It seems this Government has cros sed all levels in throwing the rules and regulations into winds. It must read the writing on the wall, Otherwise of people will show them the exit door . It is the right time for the Government to save its face by publishing the Selection list or face the public wrath. Said Anil Gupta" |
