Food Safety Officer inspects hotels, restaurants | | | Early Times Report Kathua, Sept 6 : A team of Food safety officer under the supervision of Pankaj Soni district officer of Food Safety Department at kathua visited several shops and hotels from where they checked the food adulteration in food items. Hotel Rattan Palace and Hotel star were particularly focused by the food safety team and they inspected the kitchen health of the hotels but both the hotels failed to show the health certificates of their respective cooks. In this connection both the hotels were given fifteen days time period to show the medical health certificates of their respective cooks otherwise their licenses would be cancelled. Meanwhile to proceed their inspection to check the menace of adulteration and to aware the food business operators also checked the various shops opposite CTM Kathua and destroyed on spot 5 Kg mild fat sold in name of pure Ghee, about fifty packets of 100 gm mirch powder without any levelling declaration and 20 to 30 kg of stalled vegetables and lifted a sample of haldi from hotel Rattan Palace by inspector Raina along with Chiranjeev inspector role instructions to procure licenses and keep premises hygienically fit a weeks time was granted to fish seller to put minor and jalli to avoid contamination. |
