| Plus 2 lecturers allege shortage of staff in Hr Sec schools | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 7:A meeting of All J&K Plus 2 Lectures’ Forum was held under the chairmanship of its President Narinder Singh Jamwal in the central office of the forum for reviewing the overall scenario of the Education Department.
Jamwal expressed concern over the shortage of staff in Higher Secondary Schools especially in the far flung areas that effects academic excellence and the board results at the Secondary and Higher Secondary Level. He said that at this stage students have been passing through sensitive and crucial career making stage and appealed the authorities to fill up the vacant posts of Lecturers through DPC/PSC as early as possible. Jamwal thanked the CM Omar Abdullah, Members of the screening committee and Department of School Education for issuance of formal orders of incharge Lecturers as lecturers in five subjects and hoped that the orders regarding regularization of the remaining subjects will be issued at an earliest. He stressed upon the re-organization of the School Education department which is the need of the hour and upgradation of Higher Secondary Schools to the level of Intermediate Colleges.
Jamwal, suggested the authorities to deal with utmost problem regarding the shortage of teaching and non-teaching staff in schools of far-flung areas as early as possible and appealed the whole teacher community to join hands for the welfare of the students of the State and not to highlight baseless issues. |
