| Vigilance sleuths conduct raid at ACD’s office | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Kishtwar, Sept 7: Three member team Vigilance Organization Jammu led by Inspector Sandeep Kumar conducted surprise raid in the Office of Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) Kishtwar and Office of Block Development Officer (BDO) Drabshala to scrutinize the records pertaining to alleged embezzlement of funds worth lakhs of rupees.
Sources said that besides scrutinizing records, the vigilance sleuths also seized some relevant documents pertaining to the double drawl embezzlement in Drabshala block falling under Kishtwar District.
They added when vigilance team visited the ACD office Kishtwar, the ACD Angrez Singh Rana was not in the office.
According to the sources, vigilance team collects the record from some junior officials of the department on account of proper recipient.
The vigilance action came in wake of several allegations made now and then by locals pertaining to embezzlement in government schemes like MGNREGA, IAY, BRGF, etc. Vigilance Organization during the raid at Drabshala block seized the record pertaining to case FIR No:13/2012, registered by Vigilance Organization Jammu recently. |
