JU Kishtwar campus organises Literary Meet | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 8: Department of Kashmiri, Kishtwar campus of Jammu University (JU) today organized a literary meet in which students and faculty members participated. The meet was presided over by noted writer Prof Mohd. Assadullah Wani while Director Kishtwar Campus Prof Shohab Inayat Malik graced the occasion as Chief Guest. In today’s meet Imtiyaz Ahmed Dar, Assistant Prof. presented his article on the topic “Kashmiri in 14th Century”, in which he threw light on Kashmiri poetry in 14th century. Tamseela Bashir, Tariq Ahmed and Mohd Afzal, the students of Kashmiri Department presented different articles on Kashmiri language and literature. Dr Kesar Malik, Assistant Prof Kashmir Department threw light on various genres of Kashmiri literature in detail. Speaking on the occasion, Director Kishtwar Campus and chief guest of the programme Prof. Shohab Inayat Malik congratulated the Kashmiri Department for organizing such literary programme in the campus. He highlighted the aims, objectives and importance of such programmes. He informed that these types of programmes are the backbone of any department from which students get extra knowledge. |
