| Kranti Dal demands justice in disbursement of scholarships | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 9: Kranti Dal has criticized Social Welfare Department for distributing scholarships to those candidates who do not fulfill eligible criteria. Kranti Dal leaders while talking to media persons said that Government of India give many incentives to SC/ ST candidates viz a viz downtrodden people but people are getting benefits who are not eligible for these schemes. No checking and fair selection has been made by the concerned agencies which are given responsibility for grant of these scholarships.
General Secretary, Kranti Dal, Pritam Sharma said that similar case has been found in District Udhampur where documents speaks itself that a candidate is not eligible for grant of these scholarships but agencies viz Social Welfare Department, Police and Revenue are doing nothing to book the culprit. He further said that this is not a single case but thousands of candidates of such type are getting benefits of these schemes which are really made for poor who are deprived of these facilities because of nexus between politicians and other concerned. |
