| HRD Ministry celebrates Saakshar Bharat Mahotsav | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 9: Union Ministry of Human Resource Development celebrated three days long Saakshar Bharat Mahotsav at Luckhnow.
Mahotsav comprised of a chain of activities which included 'KRITI'- an exhibition of products prepared by the beneficiaries of Jan Shikshan Sansthan (Institute of People's Education) all over India.
The exhibition was inaugurated by B.L. Joshi HE Governor of Uttar Pradesh. A panel discussion on "Centrality of literacy in Inclusive Development- Situation Analysis of Uttar Pradesh" was also organized. The panel comprised of the experts from 11M Ahmedabad, media persons and the UNESCO etc. Another Programme "KAlASANGAM "(literacy for Unity in Cultural Diversity) was also organized. The day began with the assembly followed by a programme "Ajab Saakshar Bharat kee Gajab Kahanee" which was presided over by Anshu Vaish, Secretary, Department of School Education & literacy Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt Of India in which the progr amme was moderated by Ravish Kumar from NDTV New Delhi. Programme was web casted on internet through out the country and was shown by Jan Shikshan Sansthan Jammu also to its beneficiaries Jan Shikshan Sansthan Jammu has also installed their stall in the exhibition called "KRITI II in which the products prepared by the beneficiaries of Jan Shikshan Sansthan Jammu in its various training centres were displayed. Director Jan Shikshan Sansthan Jammu M.A.Kohli also attended the above programme at lucknow on all three days. |
