JAMMU, Sept 9: Scattering the nectar of spiritualism at Satwari Chowk, Jammu, Madhu Param Hans Maharaj, the spiritual head of Sahib Bandgi Panth said to his followers that the devotees feel a sense of peace after seeking the shelter of a Satguru.
This is because they are far removed from Maya (illusion), lust, anger and the like. In what way one receives this peace of mind? In olden times, the people used to sit in the shade of trees like Peeple, Bargad. Poems have also been written on these. A person sitting in an AC fitted room thinks that he has got relief from heat. But the fact is that heat is very much there though its effect has been checked for the time being by the action of the cooler.
So the elders used to sit in the shade of Peeple tree to enjoy peace of mind that the shade at home or the coolness of the AC can't provide. This is because the leaves of the Peeple tree have a wonderful property of keeping away the scorching heat of the sun. Just as the hands come to the rescue of any part of the body in case of any attack, the leaves of these trees come to their rescue and turn the rays of the sun. Likewise, an enlightened person also has a system that keeps Maya at an arm's length. He possesses freshness & coolness. Just as the leaves of a tree don't let the hot rays of the sun approach near, the enlightened soul also does the same to Maya. |
