early times report
Kishtwar, Sept 9 : The Bonjwah Sarpanches have warned against re-induction of Ghulam Mohammad Saroori in the State Cabinet. Threatening resignation incase he was inducted in the cabinet, Bonjwah Sarpanch, Ghulam Rasool Bhat and his colleagues accused Saroori of misappropriation of public funds during his tenure as R&B Minister.
Bhat said the recent CAG report was enough evidence of his bungling. He must resign from the membership of the Legislative Assembly. He has no right to represent the people of Inderwal constituency.
He has further said that year before the presentation of challan by CBI, the MLA was issuing statements in press claiming to have been given clean chit by the CB.
Sarpanch Binoon has said that if the involvement of children of an MLA is proved, then question of clean chit does not arise. Moreover, when CBI has clearly mentioned in the challan that further investigation is going on and supplementary challan can be presented.
In these circumstances, he said, if Saroori is taken in cabinet there are every chances that he will influence the investigating agency. "If Natwar Singh was thrown out because of involvement of his kin why different yardstick for Saroori?", he questioned.
Another Sarpanch of Amritpura panchayat of Bhaleesha Taria Hussain has also opposed his induction in Cabinet. He has appealed Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad to remove Saroori from the basic membership of Congress.
The Sarpanches have made clear that they will resign incase he (Saroori) was considered for induction in the State Cabinet.
