Naushera day was celebrated with a lot of zeal to commemorate the 59th anniversary of the battle of Naushera which saw gallant acts of bravery by Nk, Yadunath Singh and other courages men under the inspiring leadership of Brigadier, Mohd. Usman. The celebrator, which offered as well as local residents who solemn the wreath laying ceremony marked the commencement of the day. The GOC 25 infantry division along with commander of 80 Infantry Brigade and other officers of all the battalions laid wreaths at yadunath memorial to pay homage to the heroes of Naushera.
Many children participated in the written quiz and painting competition that was organized for children at different age groups. those adjudged best were given prizes in their respective was made in Butalia auditorium, expounding the 1947-48 operation, which gave the audience luoid insight into the saga of valour and viction witnessed during the battles of Naushera and Jhangar.
