DDC conducts extensive tour of Reasi, Ransoo

UDHAMPUR, AUGUST 01 - With a view to make on the spot assessment of the ongoing developmental works and to redress the grievances of the people, the District Development Commissioner, Udhampur, Mr. O.P.Kalandria conducted one day extensive tour of Reasi and Ransoo area, yesterday.
The Sub Divisional Magistrate, Reasi, Mr. Ajeet Kumar Sahu, Chief Education Officer, Udhampur, Mr. V.M.Raina, Tehsildar, Settlement, Reasi Mr. R.C.Tripathy, Executive Engineers of PWD, PHE and other tehsil level officers accompanied the DDC during the tour.
The DDC convened a meeting of tehsil level officers at Reasi and inquired about the pace of developmental activities going on in Reasi the tehsil. During the meeting law and order situation and other related issues of Consumer Affairs & Public Distribution System (CAPD), supply of essential commodities, removal of encroachments, plying of buses on non permitted routes, over loading, rash driving and punctuality in offices came under discussion.
The DDC exhorted upon the officers to carry out the developmental activities in a coordinated manner with displaying of signboards of the concerned work with detail of amount and date of completion for the information of the general public to ensure transparency. He stressed upon the officers to work with zeal, devotion and dedication and ensure the punctuality in all the offices located in the tehsil.
The DDC issued on the spot instructions to the Executive Engineer, R&B & PHE, Reasi to make necessary arrangements for the installation of generator and adequate supply of drinking water in PHC, Pouni. He asked the officers of various departments to arrange awareness camps at various places to make the rural people aware regarding the various developmental schemes launched by the state and central governments so that people could derive maximum benefits out of these schemes.
While interacting with the Councilors, political leaders and prominent citizens at Reasi, the DDC listened to their grievances patiently and assured that their genuine problems would be redressed in a phased manner. He asked them to extend full cooperation to the administration in smooth conduct of development works.
At Ransoo, a deputation of local people met with DDC and apprised him with various demands which include shortage of staff in health and educational institutions, scarcity of water in Sanger area, repair of road from Kanda to Ransoo, provision of power supply at Sanger and arrangements of sanitation at Ransoo etc. The DDC told them that their problems would be solved in a phased manner.
The DDC asked the concerned officers to look into the grievances of the people of Ransoo area. He urged people to cooperate with the developmental agencies in execution of development works for speedy completion of development works at village Ransoo.
