| Police registers FIR in Tral incident | | | Srinagar | Feb 9
Following the allegations of civilian killing in Arigam Tral during an encounter, Police today registered a FIR against the troops of 42 RR of Army under section 302 RPC in Police Station Tral.
According to reports, a patrol party of 42 RR of Army was fired upon by militants at village Arigam while patrolling in the area. The troops immediately retaliates the fire and during the encounter four Army personnel and a civilian were critically injured, out of them three Army personnel including a JCO and the civilian identified as Mohd Afzal Kumar, son of Gh. Mohd of Arigam succumbed to their injuries. Thereafter people of the area protested against the killing of civilian and demanded action against the armed personnel.
