| SEX ACCUSED TO CUT BEARD ONLY AFTER JUSTICE IS DELIVERED TO THEM | | | Srinagar, August 01,: Accused in the sex scandal has been living in pathetic conditions inside the jail premises in Srinagar. According to informed sources, several among them have even stopped shaving regularly taking a vow to cut their beard only after justice is delivered to them.
These sources said, most of the accused spend their time in offering prayers and chatting inside jail premises.
A senior security official, also an accused in the case, sometimes feel left out as several others, being Kashmiri, are seen discussing issues in local language while he is at disadvantage as he donot understand the language.
A close friend of high profile accused, who recently visited him inside jail premises, told Kashmir Independent Press on Tuesday, senior IAS officer Iqbal Khanday, former Congress Minister GA Mir, former Additional Advocate General Anil Sethi and DYSP Mohd Yousf Mir have been growing their beard and have decided to cut the same only after justice is done with them.
Earlier, few Congressmen had also visited congress legislators in the jail.
It may be mentioned that ever since the accused in the case were arrested, bar associations in Jammu and Srinaagr have been locked in tug of war over the issue of defending the accused in the case.The situation went out of hands when one of the lawyers received threats after he agreed to defend the accused in the case. Later brother of Anil Sehti, also received threats while he was in Srinagar in connection with the hearing in the case.
No decision has been taken on the criminal transfer petition application filed by accused seeking transfer of case to a competent court in Jammu. |
