| Workshop on embroidery held | | | JAMMU | FEB 9
A ten days design workshop was today organized by Jay Kay women welfare society, which was sponsored by DC (H) Ministry of Textile at village Thatri and Phagroo of Doda Distt.
As per press release WWS had limited two designers from Delhi named Tarun Agarwal and Prasanget. The designers briefed about latest designs in hand and Soyei embroidery, which has more values in the market. About 90 SHG members attended the workshop.
On the concluding day of the workshop V.K Mahajan Assistant Director visited the workshop and apprised the artists about the benefit of AHVY scheme and stressed on formation of more SHG’s in the area. Other who were present during the course of training programme were R.S Rawant Sectary N.G.O Forum, T.R. Sharma Executive Director JKWWS, Rehman Kashmir, Ravi Kumar and others.
