| Women empowerment meet held | | |

In order to empower rural women, one day women meet was organized by the directorate of Field Publicity in coordination with project officer, ICDS, Khour at Karah- a remote village of Khour block of Jammu district, 80 Kms from here yesterday. According to press release, nearly 100 women drawn from different villages including 40 adolescent girls who are undergoing cutting and tailoring vocational training under “KISHORI SHAKTI YOJNA” participated in the meet first ever held in the panchayatgarh. Smt. Kanchan Sharma of Karah Smt. Sunita Kumari of Serh, Smt. Salochana, Smt. Garro Devi of Khartyal Simbal village, Smt. Pushpa and Smt. Uha Kumari (supervisors)of the project highlighted their views on various aspects of improving socio-economic conditions with special emphasis on making women-self reliant in this programme.
