| 131 employees of SRTC suspended | | |

On the instructions of Minister for Transport Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen, the Deputy Commissioner Srinagar today conducted a surprise inspection of the State Road Transport Corporation (SRTC) Headquarters at Srinagar. During the inspection 131 employees were found absent from duty.
The Minister on receiving the report from the Deputy Commissioner Srinagar ordered suspension of absent employees besides directing for deduction of one days pay on the pattern of “No work, No pay”. He further said that most of the absent officials would be attached with other offices of the corporation.
Minister who is also the chairman of the Corporation said that government would not compromise with the careless attitude of any employee and every step would be taken to streamline the functioning of the corporation for making it profitable and people friendly agency.
