| MEDICAL CAMP held | | | EARLY TIMES REPORTER 10 February 2007 Crossed Swords Division of the Army organized a medical camp for the people of Pargwal area on 09 February 2007. Major General AK Malik, VSM, General Officer commanding of the Cross Swords Division, naugurated the medical camp and assured the public for continued support of the Army. The General presented two wheel chairs to physically handicapped persons. In addition to this free medical check up and free medicines were also provided to the patients by various specialists under Operation Sadbhavana. People were treated for eye, orthopedic and gynecology related problems. Local unit of the Army made the entire arrangements and arranged for the doctors from GMCH and Red Cross Society, Jammu. Total number of doctors who participated in the camp were 21. Medicines worth Rupees 60,000/- were distributed to the needy people. Approximately 2500 people were benefited from the medical camp, said a PIB (Defence Wing) release.
