| Peoples’ problems continues unabated, alleges Sadahotra | | Several people join NC | | JAMMU FEB 11 Urging the party workers to identify themselves the problems of the common people, National Conference Provincial President Ajay Sadhotra, while addressing the public meeting at Nagotra Park here today alleged that the problems of the common people have increased manifold since 2002 and government has turned deaf eras towards these problems. He said the National Conference has always stood for secularism, democracy and socialism and it is high time to take the slogan of Sheikh Abdullah Abdullah ‘Hindu-Muslim- Sikh unity’ at very door step in order to further strengthen the secular fabric in the state and saluted the people of Jammu for keeping cool and calm despite strong provocation from across the border. Asking his party workers to get united and fight for the problems of the people, as the people have bitter experience of coalition government and called upon the rank and file to fight and strengthen the on going wave of National Conference in every block and ward. Senior Vice President Rattan Lal Gupta said that the tough stand taken by the party, within and outside the Assembly, has forced the Government to amend the Roshni Act to the extent that the farmers got the allotment of land under their possession free of cost. On this occasion, youth committee for Ward No 9 was also announced with Mohammed Sahafiq Dar as President, Rameshwar Singh and Mohammed Altaf as Vice Presidents, Tejinder Singh Joint Secretary, Vikas Kaumar Publicity Secretary and Mandeep Singh cashier while Raju Anand was appointed as ward president of women wing of the ward. A party hand out claimed that a large number of people from various political parties joined the National conference. Those joined included Karan Dev, Sanjay Gupta, Ghulam Mohammed, Hakikat Singh, Passi, Kalli, Subash Chander, Laba, Munna, Shabbi, Shyam Lal and Kewel Singh.
