JAMMU | FEB 11 Just when Jammuties started putting away their woolen clothes, there seems no end of it. Giving the city a second chance to experience the winter, the maximum temperature fell a good six degrees below normal to stand at 17.1 degrees Celsius, leaving the Capital Shivering because of hogging all day. Most of the people who had locked their woolens left were in no option other than to wear woolen clothes for safe guarding themselves from cold waves, which kept blowing through out the day. Even though the temperature did not fall too low this year Jummuities experienced chill as compared to the previous days. Parveen, Akhtar, a teacher said that she had switched over to cotton clothes it had begun warming up for some time now but the dramatic change in the whether she again pulled out her woolens from the cupboard. Aditya, a student said that in the morning today again he felt dizziness to come out of his bed, as it was very cold in the morning with the power cut making it more difficult to over come the laziness. Chander Sharma, a farmer with a smile on his face said that he was delighted to see the rain finally as long dry spell was bound to damage their crop in the fields. In the hill state of J&K like Gulmarg, Doda, Uri, Pahalgam, Sonamarg heavy snow and widespread rain not only threw normal life into disarray but also disrupted their fields. Kashmir valley received torrential rains as the entire areas around the famous tourist resorts of Gulmarg and Pahalgam turned into a thick white sheet of Snow.
