AJAY MEENIA R.S.PURA | AUGust 1 Although security has been intensified across the border but yet there are certain loopholes which inflict apprehensions in the part of people of area that terrorists can trigger any major incident in Independence Day, which has been evident from the recent arrests of Pakistani and Bangladeshi nationals who had been infiltrated into Indian Territory. According to Army sources, hundreds of militants have taken refugee inside the mosques in Sialkote in Pakistan who are seeking for opportunities to cross the border line. Doubtlessly, there is intensive security at Suchetgarh, Abdal, Gharana, Abduliyan and Arnia villages near the line of control but as a matter of fact, there are certain in between places covered with lush green forests and thick bushes which are devoid from security point of view. Although cease fire on the LoC has given respite to both the nations yet people lack of faith in Pakistan’s commitments that it’s land would never be used for terrorist activities especially amidst of various terrorists strikes is obvious from the newly breakthrough on zero line of border where Pakistan has constructed dams and concrete bankers. It is pertinent to mention here that Early Times had published a news in this concern, nearly a month back The most alarming thing in this concern Is that there are only 14 days left for the independence and the checking of police at public places and in vehicles is negligible which can facilitate militants and supply of arms ammunition from one place to another. When’ Early Times’ talked to SSP Border Rajinder Gupta about security measures being taken for peaceful Independence Day he said that BSF Army has a sharp eye over the sensitive points along border line. On the question of time to time intrusions made by Bangladeshi nationals he said that they have conducted a meeting with civilians as well as the Panchs and Sarpanchs to immediately inform to police about any suspect in and around the area. He further added that special flying squads have also been deployed who can make surprise raids at any place and at any time
