| Vigilance produces Challan against DGM SFC | | | Srinagar, February 12
State Vigilance Organization today produced a challan against Abdul Latief Bhat, Dy. General Manager Financial Corporation Srinagar in the Court of Special Judge Anti-Corruption for taking bribe of Rs.5000/- for release of a loan.
Brief facts of the case are that one Mohd Amin Zargar of Lucky Gas Stoves Zainakoot Srinagar approached Vigilance Organization on 6 March.2006 alleging that Dy. General Manager State Financial Corporation Srinagar was demanding bribe for releasing the balance payment of loan of over Rs.4 lacs, already sanctioned in his favour. A case FIR No.8/2006 was registered in Police Station VOK in this connection. The Vigilance team laid a successful trap and caught the accused red handed while accepting bribe. After accord of sanction for prosecution by the Management of State Financial Corporation, the case was produced in the court of law.
