Early Times Report jammu, Dec 31: The year 2020 has been terrible for politicians, especially in Kashmir. "The leaders, who used to call shots in the past, were seen struggling to remain relevant all throughout the year," an analyst told Early Times. He said that the recently held District Development Council (DDC) elections provided a "breather" to the politicians as it helped them to make their presence felt. "Peoples Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD)-an amalgam of Kashmir centric parties-had claimed that it would sweep the DDC polls but it didn't happen. Constituents of the PAGD are in a mess as the leaders of these parties have failed to keep their flock together. Even after winning 110 DDC seats the PAGD is finding it difficult to constitute the boards." It's in place to mention here that there are reports that winning DDC candidates of the PAGD are in touch with other political formations and are abandoning the amalgam due to the chaos and confusion prevailing within the conglomerate. Out of 1, 20,971 virus affected people 1, 16,079 people have recovered from the virus up to this date. The union territory reported 227 new cases of Corona Virus following which the total number of positive cases reached 1, 20,971.
