Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 30: Even during the Lieutenant Governor’s rule, the Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council (JKSC) has engaged over half a dozen coaches as in-charge managers at district headquarters and units. These engagements have been made in total violation of the norms as the coaches have abandoned their primary job for which they were engaged. According to sources, the practice of engaging coaches for administrative works has been going on in the JKSC for the last many years and in the year 2013, the then Secretary of the JKSC Dalip Thusu had issued an order disengaging all the coaches who were deputed as in-charge managers. In the 53rd General Council meeting of the JKSC held on 19/2/ 2013, under the chairmanship of its president (the then chief Minister) and vice-president (the then sports minister) of the Council, it was decided to disengage all the coaches either of selection grade coaches, junior coaches and instructors who were assigned the duties to function as in-charge of the units in addition to their own duties.
