PDP-BJP talks to form Govt in J&K: Moles in BJP leaking every information to NC leadership
1/14/2015 11:40:33 PM
Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 14: After working president of National Conference, Omar Abdullah has written to Governor N N Vohra for offering support to Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in formation of coalition one thing has become clear that there are some moles in BJP who are disclosing BJP's strategy to National Conference. Credible sources in the BJP said that party leadership has started consultations with a group of PDP leaders for the last couple of days. Leaders of both BJP and PDP were discussing all issues to be incorporated in the Common Minimum Programme (CMP) and announcement in this regard was scheduled to be made very soon. "But some moles in the BJP's core group disclose this strategy to the National Conference and the party (NC) immediately written a letter to the Governor to offer support to the PDP", sources said and added that some forces in the BJP, who have cordial relations with NC, were over-time to sabotage any attempt to form PDP-BJP government in J&K. This pro-NC group within BJP was trying to ensure that there would be no stable government in J&K. Cred...

Omar 'admits' having had no kaam-dhanda
1/14/2015 11:40:26 PM
Early Times Report srinagar, Jan 14: National Conference working president Omar Abdullah had tactly admitted that he was more active on the twitter than being focussed on the governance in his six-year tenure of the chief minister . "It's nice to be able to tweet without having to worry about people asking me "koi kaam dhanda nahin hai kya?" Omar had twitted on twitter-the micro blogging site. Omar, who contested elections from the two constituencies, lost from the one and could barely manage to scrape through with just about 1,000 votes. Omar Abdullah led the National Conference in the Assembly elections which suffered its worst ever performance by winning just 15 seats. Omar though h...

K Koushal ET Report Jammu, Jan 14: In the broad day light, a Jammu University employee was seen atop 70 feet electric pole to repair the same without wearing any body safety gears and when Jammu University VC was questioned, he asked this scribe of supporting the claim in written. How dictatorial? It is not for the first time that VC is reacting in such a manner. Earlier, on many occasions, he has tried to avert the questions of Early Times scribes over variety of irregularities prevailing under the nose of varsity administration. Early Times lens-man today captured a University Works Department employee atop a 70 feet poll repairing the mast light in front of Library Sciences and came ...

Advisory Boards huge burden on state exchequer
1/14/2015 11:40:07 PM
Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 14: The political impasse restricting formation of new government in the state is proving to be financial loss for legislators but the situation is favourable for Vice Chairmen of various Boards and Advisory Boards who continue to enjoy status and salaries of cabinet ministers or Ministers of State. Notwithstanding imposition of Governor's rule for now, the legality of continuance of these Vice Chairmen appointed by previous NC-Congress coalition government has come under scanner in public and administrative quarters for exorbitant expenditure state chequer is facing in lieu of their fat perks and amenities besides salaries almost at par with the ministers. ...

Refugees may be on the warpath
Conspiracy in Kashmir
1/14/2015 11:39:56 PM
Neha Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 14: The opposition by almost all those who matter in Kashmir to the democratic suggestion of the joint parliamentary committee of the Union Home Ministry that the refugees from West Pakistan needed to be granted all citizenship rights has angered not only the concerned refugees but the entire non-Muslim population in Jammu province. What has created a serious situation in the Jammu province, which houses all these refugees, is the outrageous assertion in the Valley that the grant of citizenship rights to these refugees will change the demography of the state, help the RSS and its affiliates to Hinduize Kashmir by settling there non-Muslims and increase...

What's stopping Rana, NC from supporting West Pak refugees?
Is offering support only 'in larger public interest'!
1/14/2015 11:39:23 PM
Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 14: After Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) spurned its unconditional support offer to form the next government in the state, National Conference today tried to save its face by claiming that it had offered support to PDP in view of the "larger public interest." Interestingly, the "larger public interest" statement was issued by none other than Devender Singh Rana, NC's provincial president and "Friday man" of the former chief minister, Omar Abdullah, who has been playing all the tricks since December 23, 2014, when results of the recent assembly polls were declared, to become a part of the next government despite facing humiliating defeat. Pak running short of ideas to carry on with proxy war
1/14/2015 11:39:12 PM
Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 14: After failing to push in the militants into Jammu and Kashmir due to strong counter infiltration grid at place, Pakistan resorted to repeated ceasefire violations across the International Border and the Line of Control (LoC) but the befitting reply given by the soldiers deployed there has left the Pakistan army high and dry, now it's looking for other means to keep on fighting the proxy war with India, analysts believe. While talking to Early Times defence analysts said the changed policy of the Narendra Modi led government at the Centre has had cascading impact over the people, who were at the forefront of fighting the ongoing proxy war with India ...

Conflict between Jammu and Valley could divide J&K
'Diversity of the State'
1/14/2015 11:38:47 PM
Rustam Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 14: The 2014 poll verdict has established once and for all that the State of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh is highly diverse and that only a government that recognizes this reality alone could maintain its unity and integrity, otherwise it would disintegrate sooner than later. What is highly significant is the fact that even those in the Valley who till the other day used to describe the State of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh as one political entity and wanted the Kashmiri will to be imposed on the state's other two regions have acknowledged that the state is highly diverse. They want the J&K watchers to analyze the recent election results in J&K state "in t...
