1/19/2016 12:20:21 AM
Early Times Report Srinagar, Jan 18: The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) seem to be getting ready for yet another face off as PDP wants its coalition ally to clear its stand on "Agenda of Alliance," while BJP has made it clear that "Agenda of Alliance" cannot be implemented in haste. Sources told Early Times that BJP leaders have got it conveyed to PDP the power projects owned by National Hydro Power Corporation (NHPC) in Jammu and Kashmir cannot be returned in a "jiffy" and even if these are given back to JK a proper procedure would be followed. Insiders revealed that BJP central leadership has asked the PDP President Mehbooba Mufti to go ahead and take oath as the 13th Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir and "stop putting conditions." The PDP President, according to the sources, has been assured by the BJP top leaders that "everything would be done" and she should "stop worrying". "When Agenda of Alliance was signed both the parties agreed upon the fact that it would be implemented during the course of six years. PDP is not right wh...

Had there been perfect understanding between the two parties as was the case in February-March in 2015, the PDP-BJP coalition government would have been very much in place by now. In fact, what transpired in Srinagar on Sunday during the much talked about meeting of the core group of the PDP and what PDP president Mehbooba Mufti and her spokesperson Naeem Akhtar said and the kind of response it evoked from the BJP leadership the same day only indicated that all was not well with the PDP-BJP coalition. If still there was any doubt, it was cleared on Monday by BJP n...
