October ‘deadliest’ for Jammu in 5 years!

Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 1: The previous month of October 2021 not only witnessed spike in civilian and militant killings in restive Kashmir alone but that Jammu witnessed martyrdom of as many as eleven brave-hearts of the Indian Army making it “the deadliest month of terror strikes” in the last around half a decade. While 13 civilians and 20 militants were killed in Kashmir, Jammu witnessed deadly terror strikes in the Poonch Rajauri areas. On October 30 with killing of Lieutenant Rishi Kumar and Sepoy Manjit Singh in an IED blast in Rajauri the toll reached eleven for the month of October. Prior to this On Oct 16, Subedar Ajay Singh and Naik Harendra Singh were killed during a search operation being conducted by the Indian Army along with the Jammu and Kashmir Police in the densely forested area of Nar Khas forest in Mendhar on October 16. The objective of the operation was to flush out terrorists hiding in the forested area. Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Nov 1: The Government today informed that 98 new positive cases of novel Corona virus (COVID-19), 14 from Jammu division and 84 from Kashmir division, have been reported today, thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 332347. Also, 04 COVID deaths have been reported from Kashmir Division. Moreover, 97 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals including 80from Jammu Division and 17 from Kashmir Division. Early Times Report Srinagar, Nov 1: J&Ks Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Monday filed chargesheet against the then Block Medical Officer (BMO) Beerwah and sixteen others for illegal and unauthorised appointments of Class-IV employees in Budgam district. An ACB spokesman said that a chargesheet was produced against Dr Fayaz Ahmad Banday, then BMO Beerwah Budgam and others for illegal and unauthorized appointments of Class-IV employees in the district.
