SRINAGAR, Dec 3: Shaken by the huge voter turnout in the first two phases of the ongoing Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir, the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today questioned JK's accession with India and claimed that the Himalayan state had conditionally acceded to India.
Omar while addressing an election gathering at Soibugh, the native village of the Hizbul Mujahideen chief commander Syed Salahuddin, Omar Abdullah, in order to address the Jamaat vote bank, raised Kashmir issue.
"Those entities that are desirous of a debate on Article 370 should read history and know that the State of Jammu and Kashmir acceded to India based on basic, constitutionally validated conditions that were put in place by Sher-e-Kashmir Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah to guard the political distinctiveness of the State and to act as a protection of the political aspirations of our people," Omar said while addressing a gathering in Jamaat citadel.

Jammu, Dec 3: The Jammuities especially the visually impaired population of province would have to wait more for crucial eye-bank facility as even after completion of building construction, funds for infrastructure and required instruments is yet to be received by Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H).

Jammu, Dec 3: Notwithstanding the fact that huge amount of money is spent by the University of Jammu to maintain its Website (jammuuniversity.in), it represents a sordid tale of callousness as the media gallery has not been updated for last 3-years although some important international level activities have taken place in the university including the Indian Science Congress.

SRINAGAR, Dec 3: An Assistant Sub Inspector of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) was killed while as seven others persons including three civilians were injured in a grenade attack at Pohoo in the South Kashmir's Pulwama district.
Reports said that militants lobbed a grenade towards a vehicle of CRPF at Rohmoo bridge in the evening today. The grenade landed near the vehicle leading to two injuries to eight persons including three CRPF personnel, two policemen and three civilians. Jammu, Dec 3: Notwithstanding the tall claims of the central government for making available to the people the best healthcare facilities, 59 per cent of the sub-health centres (SHCs) in Kalakote block of Rajouri do not have adequate staff and are running from rented accommodations.
