To save his illegal building, Omar Abdullah slams demarcation drive as 'anti-Muslim'
6/14/2015 12:24:38 AM
Early Times Report Jammu, June 13: Jammu and Kashmir's former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah is desperately trying to save his own illegal building in Bhatindi, Jammu, in wake of the demarcation drive launched by the Forest department. "The fact is that the process of encroachment and illegal construction in Bhatindi was started by none other than Omar's father and former CM Farooq Abdullah. The encroachment that happened during the father-son duo's tenures as CM emboldened the land mafia," a senior official told Early Times. Sources said Farooq Abdullah raised a palatial building, which was later re-decorated by Omar. The building is allegedly built on the forestland. Sources said many more influential leaders cutting across the party lines, but mostly from the Abdullahs National Conference, made huge fortunes by the selling the forestland to people from the Kashmir v...
