Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 22: After facing humiliation in UT of Ladakh by ignoring wishes and aspirations of the residents of Leh, Congress is going to face a similar situation in J&K because party leadership is pursuing only the Kashmir centric policies at the cost of desires of the residents of Jammu. Instead of striking a balance between two regions, Congress leadership in J&K is all out to pursue Kashmir centric agenda by overlooking Jammu’s aspirations. Today Pradesh Congress Committee leader joined with other Kashmir centric parties which unanimously resolved to fight for restoration of the “special status” of J&K as it existed pre-August 5, 2019, saying the measures taken were “spitefully shortsighted” and “grossly unconstitutional”. Resentment is brewing among the specialists and other senior doctors at the Bemina facility as the hospital administration has issued directives making it mandatory for doctors from one specialization to treat patients who need specialization from other units. Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Aug 22: Traffic was restored on Saturday afternoon after remaining suspended due to landslides and shooting stones since Thursday on the 270-km-long Srinagar-Jammu national highway, the only all-weather road connecting Kashmir valley with the rest of the country. Meanwhile, the 86-km-long Mughal road, seen as an alternative to Srinagar-Jammu highway, and highway, linking Ladakh Union Territory (UT) with Kashmir were through for one-way traffic. As 610 new cases of virus were reported today the number of positive cases in the union territory reached 31,981. Srinagar district reported five fresh Corona Virus deaths followed by Budgam two deaths and a death each in Jammu, Pulwama, Anantnag, Bandipora, Kupwara, Kishtwar, Poonch and Samba.
