Jammu, Feb 11: The 40 hour long joint operation of Army and Special Operation Group of Jammu and Kashmir Police to flush out the terrorists who has stormed inside an army camp at highly fortified, Sunjwan Military Station is on even after the elimination of three to four Jaish militants, two of them were identified by the sources as Adil and Mohammad Khalid who had remained active in Pulwama and Sopore area in south Kashmir and are said to be locals hailing from Arwani and Tral.
In the ongoing operation flush out, so far five army soldiers and a civilian, who is said to be the father of deceased army man, were martyred till the last reports came in.
Among the five army men who laid down their lives hail from north Kashmir,s Kupwara district and Pulwama and Kulgam district in South Kashmir while another army soldier belongs to Kathua district.
As already reported by Early Times the militants are said to have reach to Jammu via Pir Panchal area. The sources said that huge cache of arms and ammunition including hand grenades, insulated cutters, AK 56 Riffles, UBGL were also recovered from the possession of slain terrorists, beside maps and material related to Jash militant outfit was also recovered from them.
The army sources told the Early Times that search and combing operation is still on as there is a vast area that needs to be sanitized before declaring the operation over.
he army has so far confirmed the death of only three militants, while the senior police officials of the Jammu and Kashmir police said four terrorist have been gunned down so far in the ongoing operation.
A senior police officer told the "Early Times" that the operation will continue on 3rd day as well as there is still a vast area which needs to be sanitized.
After several hours of lull, massive blasts were heard inside the military garrison beside huge flames of fire were also seen inside the garrison which suggest that some militants are still holed up inside.
Around six fire tender vehicles were also rushed inside and did not return till the filling of this story as no media persons were allowed inside nor the army held any further media briefing after they held the same around 2.30 PM today.
The sources said that all the bodies of the martyred army soldiers and a civilian along with the bodies of three militants were recovered so far beside as many as 150 family quarters were cleared by the combing and search operation teams.
Meanwhile the security forces reached to the hideout used by the militants which was found just few hundred meters away from the Sunjwan military camp on the back side towards Lakar Mandi area.
Security forces while entering the said hideout found anti Indian slogans "Go India Go Back" and "We want Azadi" written over the walls which were later cleared by the army.
The sources said that cigarette packs, biscuits wrappers, syringes and water bottles were found from the said hideout used by the terrorist before carrying the attack.

Lt Colonel Rohit Solanki- 6th Mahar- minor injuries, Major Avijit Singh- 6th Mahar- head injuries, Lance Naik Bahadur Singh- 1st JAK LI- multiple injuries, Havaldar Abdul Hamid Rashid- 1st JAK LI- head injuries, Paramjeet Kaur, 40, relative of Honourary Lt Madan Lal Chaudhary, Neha, 20, daughter of Honourary Lt Madan Lal Chaudhary- right leg injured, Somati Jena, 20, son of Havaldar Haripoda Jena, PA to 36 Brigade Commander- head injury, Wife of Havaldar Satyendra- minor injuries, Daughter of Havaldar Satyendra- minor injuries, Subedar Rajinder Singh- 6th Mahar- minor injuries, Wife of Rifleman Nazir Ahmed- delivered a baby at Military Hospital Satwari.
The search operation in the areas close to the vicinity of the army camp is still going on and all the senior police and army officials are tight lipped over on what is happening inside and how many militants are still holed up inside the said army camp.
