JKPSA holds meeting, highlights issues

SAMBA, Aug 17: A meeting of Private Schools of District Samba was organized by District President Kulwinder Singh Jamwal in which all heads of Private schools of District Samba and Executive members of the central body participated.
Members of District Samba highlighted number of issues pertaining to the recognition up to Middle Standard (8th) by DSE Jammu, problem in countersignature, authentication of the results of Private schools of Samba at zonal and District level. Representatives of entire district of Samba also raised the issue regarding the locking of two schools in Kathua district by the district administration.
Members from the central body briefed the gathering regarding the locking of two schools in Kathua that numbers of Private schools which are not registered with JKPSA have applied to Fee Fixation Committee for the fixation of their fee. The schools which were locked superseded the order of FFC and started charging tuition fee as per their will. All schools of Kathua were under great panic and pressure which resulted strike/bandh.
General Secretary of JKPSA Ajay Gupta appealed to the Private school who had sought approval for their school fee from the FFC to collect only approved fee from the parents after providing authenticated receipt. Moreover JKPSA will never support those schools in near future that will overcharge or exploit the parents by not adhering to the order of FFC. President of JKPSA Kamal Gupta, while addressing the august gathering said that some people who were interested for their political mileage tried their best to exploit the Kathua situation although it was resolved by the intervention of higher officials including Director School Education Jammu.
He urged to all school owners to become facilitators so that all sections of the society can get good education without any pull and pressure at the affordable rates. In addition to it he said that Association will fight with tooth and nail so that genuine Private school owners who are registered with JKPSA and are totally dependent on this venture can flourish without any fear psychosis. More than sixty new Private schools of Samba were registered with JKPSA by distributing registration certificate by the members of central body.
The prominent who attended the meeting included Rameshwar Mengi (Vice President JKPSA), Ashwani Khajuria, Chain Singh, Sanjeev Luthra,Sat Paul Mansotra , Siddeheshwar Sadotra, Ajay Singh, Jatinder Heera,VM Sharma, Krishen Singh, Rajeev Salathia, Kabla Singh, Shakti Sharma, Manoj Sharma, Neresh Kumar, Rajeev Jasrotia and others.
