HSS demands resignation of BJP youth gen secy | | | Asif Iqbal Naik Early Times Report srinagar, Aug 17: After Early Times carried a report about the embarrassment caused to the BJP after its state youth general secretary Ashish Sharma voted for a National Conference leader in an online poll on Facebook, incharge of Hindustan Shiv Sena (HSS) Chenab Valley Tilak Raj Shan has demanded Sharma's resignation. In the online poll, the audience was asked to choose between the incumbent Congress MLA Ghulam Mohammad Saroori and National Conference leader Pyare Lal Sharma with the option none of the above in the form of "Nota". Shan said that Sharma had voted in favour of the NC leader Pyare Lal Sharma in the online poll, showing that he had done this only for his personal benefit by putting the party prestige at stake. He said that Pyare Lal Sharma was a Congress worker before he switched over to NC and was anti-Prime Minister Narendra Modi and RSS. Besides, he was involved in presenting wrong image of RSS and Modi in Inderwal constituency. Shan also requested BJP State president Ravinder Raina to immediately suspend Ashish Sharma from BJP for supporting the NC and misguiding the poor and backward people of Hindu community on the name of BJP and RSS which clearly indicate that the said leader had deviated from the basic principal of the BJP and RSS ideology. Meanwhile, NC on Saturday rejected the Facebook poll. Senior party leaders from Inderwal told the Early Times that the party has yet to decide over the candidate from Inderwal constituency and added that there are many senior leaders who are in line for the party mandate. They said the newly joined former Congress leader is yet to become a basic member among the party functionary and added that voting in favor of NC leader by BJP State youth general secretary is a welcome step. The party leaders said that BJP after forging alliance with the PDP had failed to deliver and added that the party is losing its base in Jammu division rapidly. They said the false promises made by the BJP with the people of Jammu from where the party gets 25 seats has spilled the resentment among the people in entire Jammu region. They said that the party has now once again resorted to divide and rule ideology to regain its fast losing vote bank and added that the people of Jammu and Kashmir are wise enough to give them a befitting reply as and when the elections to state assembly will be held. |
