Rajouri, Aug 17: Inhabitants of remote villages including Miyhyani, Narla, Bambal, Kot Chalwal, Udhan, Khorbani etc in Rajouri district have alleged discrepancies by the legislature and previous governments and have complained acute shortage of basic amenities including worst condition of the link roads/ roads. Inhabitants alleged that the condition of road from Bamboorigala to Narla is very bad and the entire road is filled with potholes and uneven surface making the commuter as well as pedestrians finding it difficult to move on this road. Even the drivers/owners of public transport, cars, three wheelers have to stop their vehicle after some distance in order to make the road clear to move ahead after filling the potholes with stones etc. "One can't drive the vehicle regularly for more than 10 minutes on this road due to slippery/ broken surface of the road, It becomes small pools of water whenever there was rain" said a local resident. People of Pangar, Khorbani, Bambal, Narla Udhan and others have appealed to former local Minister Abdul Ghani Kohli several times but without any action. "Except hollow promises nothing concrete was done by the local legislature , Abdul Ghani Kohli and other Ministers and prominent political leaders" said HS Jamwal. He said the people of the area have now appealed to Deputy Commissioner to take necessary measure to mitigate the problems of the poor people by taking into consideration about the condition of this road. |
