Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, Aug 19: Scores of employees have not got their salaries yet and they are compelled to hit the streets due to which the general public suffers at large.
Sources said that scores of employees of Family Welfare, MCH and Immunization Department, district family welfare bureaus under finance major head 2211 like Deputy CMO's DIO's DMEIO's Head Assistants, Senior Assistants Drivers and employees working at Sub Centers under CSS plan like FMPHW's are without salaries from past several months.
However there are also some employees that are working in the same department under RFWC (Rural Family welfare centers) Non Plan like Extension Educators, Junior Health inspectors, Jr Assistants, Field workers and Lady Health Visitors having no salary issue as they are regularly on monthly basis.
"From last many days employees working under RFWC non plan were also part of the protest across Kashmir with other employees despite the fact that they are having no salary issue even they played key role on Wednesday to lockout all Deputy CMO offices at district level and Director Family office at Srinagar", sources told early times.
Sources further said that protest of employees working at District Family welfare bureaus and at CSS plan Sub centers is to some extent genuine issue which needs to be resolved in a stipulated time, as the families of these employees have come to starvation. They said that protest of employees working under RFWC non plan is un-ethical and unjustified.
Sources quoting the higher ups in the department said that stern action will be initiated against those employees who are getting their monthly salaries on regular basis and still being part of the strike. The higher ups said the salaries will be released in a day or two and problem will get solved.
The employees have requested Governor N N Vohra, Chief Secretary to intervene into the matter so that the families of these protesting employees get their salaries before Eid-ul Azha.
